Tom SelleckThomas William Selleck is an American actor from the United States. His breakthrough role was as Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in the television series Magnum. (1980-1988) in which the actor was nominated 5 times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in a Drama Series. He was awarded the award in 1985. From 2010 until the year 2010, Selleck has been the New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. Since 2005 He has played the troubled small-town police chief Jesse Stone in nine television films based on the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). In addition, he has appeared in more than 50 different film and television roles since Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was the recurring TV character of Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke in Friends, as Lance White (the likeable but naive) on The Rockford Files and as A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas.
